Here are some photos of a surviving first edition of Hobomok.
It is being sold by an e-bay user for over $2,000.
The pictures include the cover, binding, title page, some front matter and ending of the book, as well as a page spread near the middle and blank pages that the owner/s appear to have written on.

A Beginning

This blog will be dedicated to my personal research about Lydia Maria Child's 1824 novel, Hobomok. I will be developing the visual and verbal content of the site, regularly updating, I hope, for the better. I hope that those who follow will enjoy this historical and literary excursion into the Romantic Republic of early America.
