This blog will be dedicated to my personal research about Lydia Maria Child's 1824 novel, Hobomok. I will be developing the visual and verbal content of the site, regularly updating, I hope, for the better. I hope that those who follow will enjoy this historical and literary excursion into the Romantic Republic of early America.

I love the image you've selected for your banner! Who is the painter, if you don't mind me asking - and when was it painted?
ReplyDeleteThe painting is by Thomas Cole and is called "The Indian at Sunset," which seemed appropriate. :) Thomas Cole is famous for his paintings of the American landscape and for the Hudson River School of Art. Beautiful works.
ReplyDeleteHello, in case you missed the comment elsewhere I put the potato kanji on my blog.
